A healthy holiday of a lifetime

20th April 2009 Print
A healthy holiday of a lifetime After years of yo-yo dieting and failed gym memberships, ladies are turning to fitness resorts to lose weight and take control of their wellbeing – rather than spending a luxurious weekend away or buying the latest ‘It’ bag.

That’s according to FitFarms, the five-star fitness retreats that specialise in women-only weight-loss camps.

“FitFarms costs less than a designer handbag or weekend away,” says Julie Brealy, health manager at FitFarms.co.uk.

“Women seem to have shifted their priorities in the last six months and are starting to realise that the best money they can spend is in their own health and wellbeing.

“Many ladies have been enjoying the good life and now need to take stock and regain control. FitFarms helps them do just that, without putting them through bullying boot camps.”

FitFarms run week-long residential retreats in the Peak District and Exmoor, where female-only guests focus on getting fit, fighting fat and having fun.

As well as being put through their paces with entertaining exercises, guests receive education and advice alongside wellbeing treats like massage and Tai Chi.

A one-week retreat at FitFarms costs £995 for a single room, with everything included.

WHAT YOU CAN GET FOR AROUND A GRAND
