Summer in Switzerland

23rd April 2009 Print
'Let the train take the strain' is the message this summer to those planning a trip to the Alps from the Switzerland Travel Centre. The company is highlighting a wide choice of options - ranging from short breaks to holidays of nine nights in duration - including the seven-night 'Mountain Railways of Switzerland' itinerary.

The trip combines stays in Lucerne, Interlaken and Zermatt and includes a wealth of excursions by cog trains, steam trains and cable cars.

These include Jungfraujoch - the highest railway station in Europe with breathtaking views of the Aletsch glacier - the peak of Brienzer Rothorn, a gondola journey to Mount Titlis and the Gornergrat Ridge, surrounded by 29 dramatic peaks.

The twin share price of £822 per person applies between 5 June and 15 October and includes return flights from Heathrow, Gatwick or London City, rail transfers, excursions as per itinerary and three-star hotels with breakfast throughout.
