Blue Flags at Parkdean parks
Parkdean Holidays is celebrating as ‘Keep Britain Tidy’ has released the details of beaches that have been awarded the Blue Flag of Excellence for 2009. The awards are in recognition of high quality bathing water, safety and services provided at UK beaches.There were 71 blue flags awarded in total this year, which is great news for Parkdean Holidays, because seven of its parks are situated on and nearby 19 of these beautiful beaches:
- Hayling Island Park – Hayling Island West and Central beaches
- Sandford Park – Sandbanks Peninsular, Shore Road, Canford Cliffs and Breaksome beaches
- Challaborough Park – Challaborough beach
- Torquay Park – Oddicombe, Meadfoot, Anstey’s cove, Goodrington South Sands, Paignton, Preston sands, Maidencombe and Torre Abbey Sands beaches
- St Minver – Polzeath beach
- Cherry Tree Park – Gorleston and Great Yarmouth beaches
- Warmwell Park – Weymouth and Portland Borough beaches
Cornwall Council were awarded eight Blue Flag accolades for the county’s beaches, the highest number for any beach managing authority.
