Seafront Sicily

If a summer holiday without the sound and sight of the sea is just unthinkable, take a look at soloSicily's new collection of seafront properties - all have sea views and many are just a few steps from the beach.

Seafront villas: Casa d'Eraclea is positioned on the brow of a hill, overlooking the sea at Eraclea Minoa in south west Sicily and just a 10-minute walk to the beach. Seafront boutique hotels: Musciara, an 11-bedroom boutique hotel situated right on the seafront in Syracuse and with views over the nearby island of Ortigia, is the latest addition to the soloSicily portfolio. Step out of the hotel directly on to the hotel's own private sandy beach, enjoy your morning cappuccino on a beachside terrace and have a seafood and champagne dinner served to you with the sand between your toes.

A three-night stay in July starts at €510 per person based on two sharing.

Hibiscus (sleeps 8), near Syracuse, has a huge panoramic terrace overlooking the sea. Access to the sea is via the lawned garden. One week in July has been reduced by €800 to €2700.

Torremare (sleeps 8-14), near Palermo, sits in the centre of a concave beach and has its own storeroom, crammed full of beach equipment, right on the beach. One week in August has been reduced by €660 to €2990 for a party of 8 or by €730 to €5200 for a party of 12.
