Whisky, Wine and Whales

Connoisseurs of fine wines, spirits and food will enjoy this tailor made, seven-night trip to South Africa's Western Cape that includes four nights at the Cape Grace Hotel on Cape Town's V&A Waterfront, home to the largest number of whiskies in the Southern Hemisphere. A tasting with the whisky sommelier in the renowned Bascule Bar is included where guests can match whiskies with chocolate truffle, smoked salmon and blue cheese.

Also included is a private 'Chocolate, Cheese and Wine' tour into the Cape Winelands taking in the vineyards of Paarl and Franschhoek valleys, along with a visit to the Franschhoek chocolate factory. The itinerary concludes with three nights at Rodwell House, St James, overlooking the stunning False Bay, one of the best places in the world for shore-based whale watching. Rodwell House owner, Robin von Holdt, has amassed a vast collection of fine wines, perfect for enjoying in a truly idyllic setting.

Prices start from £1,790 and include international economy flights with South Africa Airways, taxes, car hire, tours as listed and accommodation on a bed and breakfast basis featuring four nights at Cape Grace and three nights at Rodwell House.

Big 5, Wine and Private Dining

A visit to Sir Richard Branson's Ulusaba Private Game Reserve bordering Kruger National Park in South Africa offers affordable luxury. Set in the heart of the Sabi Sand Game Reserve, Ulusaba is an exclusive, private reserve whose highlights include game drives with the opportunity to see the Big Five as well as a tasting session in Branson's wine cellar. Romantic private dinners can also be arranged after a day's game activities at no extra cost.

The price of £2,399 per person includes international and internal flights, all transfers, five-nights at Ulusaba Private Game Reserve, game drives, meals and drinks (including premium wines and Champagne), which also makes this the perfect choice for honeymooners and anyone celebrating a special occasion.

Malawi Safari and Sundowners

Head to the 'Home of Gin' for an authentic sundowner experience. Malawi gin and tonic or MGT, is made with juniper found only in Malawi and this can be experienced whilst staying three nights at Mvuu Camp on safari where guests can enjoy games drives in 4x4 vehicles, by boat and on foot. Game spotted in the Liwonde National Park includes hippo, crocodile, a variety of antelope, as well as the country's largest elephant population.

This is followed by four nights at Mumbo Camp situated on a tiny, deserted tropical island on Lake Malawi, the perfect backdrop, whilst sipping MGT, to watch the sun go down. Here guests can indulge in a variety of watersports or simply relax.

This seven-night trip is priced £2,230 per person and includes internal and international flights, all meals, activities and transfers.
