Taxpayers get value for money at this Parliament House

22nd May 2009 Print
Don't let the name put you off - it's about as different from Westminster as you could imagine - that's the message from Scottish cottage agency, Ecosse Unique, for those booking a holiday in 'Parliament House'.

The spacious property is located close to the village of Achiltibuie on Scotland's north west coast and gets its name from the nearby rock where historically village elders met to discuss community matters, but not expense claims!

Sleeping up to 12, this newly-built house enjoys a breathtaking situation - the sea on the doorstep and mountains behind - and is set at the end of a single track road that ends at the shore.

Its interior is as impressive as its location, with highlights including six bedrooms, three bathrooms, a sun/dining room overlooking the sea and a cosy sitting room. The house also has its own private beach.

As an example of price, a seven-night holiday in early June costs £695, rising to £1250 in July and August.
