Staying in Goch, close to the Dutch boarder, you will be given a guided tour of the parachutists landing point during Operation Market Garden, where thousands of brave soldiers died fighting to stop the German advance. This emotional tour finishes visiting a local Dutch vineyard before transferring to your hotel leaving you the evening to explore the city at your leisure.
After breakfast the following morning your be given the chance to explore the city of Arnhem, before visiting the Airborne museum set in a large country house used by General Urquhart in 1944, at the Battle for the Rhine Bridge. Here you will have the opportunity to walk around and view the extremely moving models and memorabilia that set a realistic and dramatic portrayal of life during WWII.
