Development Holidays – A new challenge for teens
Activities that have been specially designed to challenge, motivate and develop leadership skills are incorporated into ‘Leadership Challenge’ special-interest breaks this summer at PGL’s Boreatton Park adventure centre in Shropshire.‘Leadership Challenge’ is an opportunity for 13-16 year olds to develop leadership and team-building skills and to learn how to work towards goals, things that will be of enormous benefit not just in their future education and career plans but also in personal relationships.
Youngsters – who will be divided into teams - take part in a range of activities, tasks and challenges for which they gain points for their team; at the end of the week these points are converted into a ‘budget’ for a final challenge – planning and organising a themed event for fellow guests.
During the week, youngsters will also get a behind-the-scenes look at what’s involved in planning and organising the activity sessions and the operation of one of PGL’s biggest and busiest adventure centres.
‘Leadership Challenge’ holidays are available at Boreatton Park starting 1 and 15 August at £509 per child. Included is full-board, residential accommodation, all activities and instruction, plus evening entertainment.
