To cope with unprecendented demand for this summer holidays, Coastal Cottages of Pembrokeshire has managed to contract extra properties for July and August, with an additional dozen cottages now featured on the website.

Examples include:

• Morwynt – a four-bedroom, detached, traditional stone cottage (sleeps eight) which has been refurbished to a high standard yet retains its character and charm. Set on the cliffs overlooking the fishing village of Abercastle and its sandy cove. Available for weeks commencing 4 and 11 July at £1049, plus 18 and 24 July at £1400.

• The Old Bakery – a ‘bijou’ cottage for two in the historic seaport of St Dogmaels on the Teifi estuary. Ideal for watersports, birdwatching and for walkers as at the northern end of the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path. A week’s rental in late June/early July is £408, rising to £552 in peak weeks.

• Garden Pitts retreat – a spacious, detached stone cottage which sleeps eight and is on the shore of the Cleddau estuary near Landshipping. A large, lawned garden surrounds the house so there’s plenty of room for alfresco eating or for children to play. A week’s rental in early July is £997, rising to £1400 from mid-July and through August.

• Glasfryn (sleeps seven) is a detached bungalow set in four acres of meadow with stream and woodland, close to the bustling town of Newport with its golden beach and with glorious views of Carn Ingli mountain. A week in late June is £601, rising to £901 in mid-July.
