Let’s get physical this summer Lucozade Energy is challenging fans to do more with their energy by offering the chance to win one of five unforgettable physical challenges across the globe this summer.

The third challenge is now open with the opportunity for one winner and 3 of his/her mates to take on the ultimate white water rafting challenge on the fiercest river in the World, the Zambezi River in Zambia. The group will head to Zambezi, home to the world’s most extreme rapids, where they will be trained by a team of expert rafters, building themselves up for the mighty Class 5 ‘Oblivion’ rapid! As well as riding some heart racing rapids, the group will also get the chance to enjoy Africa’s greatest game reserves and the magnificent Victoria Falls.

It couldn’t be easier to enter, simply visit Lucozade Energy, enter the challenge and invite three mates to share the experience.

The winners of the third challenge will set out on 3rd August 2009 and follow a water filled itinerary in the hope of succeeding at taming the world’s most ferocious rapid challenge. Some top highlights include:

Challenge day 1&2 – jetting to Livingstone

The group set off to Livingstone, Zambia. Once on African soil, they will then be transferred to the iconic sight of Victoria Falls, one of the natural wonders in the world.

Challenge day 3 – getting prepped to ride the rapids

After a much needed sleep, the group will enjoy breakfast and then be whisked away to the Zambezi River for a safety briefing before getting kitted out with the necessary equipment. The group will then head out to the water and begin their exciting journey, learning how to raft some of the most challenging white water in the world.

After a morning of riding some of the more tame rapids, the team will then take on some of the higher rapids including the ‘Stairway to Heaven’ - a powerful Class 5 rapid with an 8 metre drop over 10 metres, ‘Morning Glory’ – one of the first major class 4/5 rapids and ‘Gulliver’s Travels’ – a 700 metre stretch of Class 5 high volume white water and one of the longest and most technical rapids in the world.

Challenge day 4 – off to safari

Today, the group will head to Botswana, for a 2 day, 1 night excursion taking in some of the most incredible game and bush scenery on Earth in Chobe National Park.

Challenge day 5 – riding the 4x4s

After another early start, the group will head out in 4x4s for a morning game drive as the sun rises above the Botswana landscapes, before heading back to Victoria Falls for dinner and then an early night in advance of their ultimate challenge the following day.

Challenge day 6 – the challenge, taking on the fiercest rapid

The final day sees the group setting out to Zambezi once again, where they will don their gear and take their positions for their ultimate challenge, taking on the Oblivion – a class 5 rapid made up of three huge waves. With only one in four people who attempt the rapid succeeding, the group will have to work hard to ride the fierce rapid. If successful, the group will have the opportunity to take on all 39 rapids in this section of the Zambezi River making the ultimate run on the Zambezi.

Challenge day 7 – homeward bound

As the sun rises, the group enjoy their final breakfast before being transferred back to Livingstone for their overnight flight back to London, closing their ultimate white water experience in the deep depths of the Zambezi River.
