There's still time to whisk the family away

For families still considering where to take the family this summer, a fantastic ‘Kids Go Free’ offer from PGL should make that decision easier.

For families who can hang on to start their annual holiday at the August bank holiday weekend – many schools are closed until 7 September - there are loads of great prices available from Coastal Cottages of Pembrokeshire.

For example, a week’s rental of Coed Cadw (sleeps six) is £391 for week commencing 28 August, a saving of £43. This character cottage is set among fields in the Nevern Valley and is just five minutes from the seaside town of Newport and the beach.

Kids travel free on all Irish Ferries crossings up to 31 August 2009 provided the booking is made 14 days before sailing.

There’s also a special lead-in price of just £79 one-way for car plus driver and £20 for additional adults. This means that a family of four, for example, can travel across the sea to Ireland with their car for as little as £99.

This price applies for midweek travel (Monday-Thursday) on the Pembroke/Rosslare route; a supplement of £10 applies on Fridays and Sundays, or £20 for Saturdays.
