Ever seen a lobster hypnotised?

13th August 2009 Print
A festival which pays tribute to lobsters and crabs – with highlights including a lobster hypnotist, live exhibits, folk music and street performers – is taking place at Clovelly in North Devon on 6 September.

Further attractions of the event – which is held in support of the National Lobster Hatchery - include a quay kitchen with cookery demonstrations, wine and beer tasting, craft stalls and entertainment for the children.

The National Lobster Hatchery will also be bringing along a tank of baby lobsters which will be released in Clovelly Bay as part of their restocking project.

For those who fancy joining in the fun, Woolacombe Bay Holiday Parks – situated around 30 miles from Clovelly – is offering a wide choice of self-catering accommodation.

Prices start from as little as £185 for a three-night weekend break for a family of four – starting on 4 September – with accommodation in a fully-equipped two bedroom caravan holiday home.

Visitors can enjoy more than 40 free activities including 10 heated indoor/outdoor pools, tennis, nine-hole golf, cinema, children’s clubs and evening entertainment.
