Budget friendly half term breaks in Ireland

15th September 2009 Print

Irish Ferries Holidays has special prices on self-catering breaks throughout October, including the half-term holiday weeks, with prices from as little as £85 per person based on a family of two adults and two children.

For example, a total of £340 buys five nights at the Pebble Beach Holiday Homes in Co Waterford – adjacent to a wide, sandy beach and the Splashworld Leisure Centre complex – inclusive of return cruise ferry crossing for car and passengers on either the Holyhead/Dublin or Pembroke/Rosslare routes.

Five-night October breaks are also available at other holiday villages in eastern Ireland including Hayward Mews near Dublin, Woodstock Demesne in grounds of the Druids Glen golf course in Co. Wicklow and Woodside Holiday Homes close to Courtown beach in Co. Wexford.

For hotel stays, there’s a ‘three nights for the price of two’ offer at a selection of three- and four-star properties within easy driving distance of Dublin or Rosslare with some also including a complimentary three-course dinner on one of the nights.

For example, three nights with breakfasts, plus one dinner, at the Carlton Millrace Hotel in the traditional Irish town of Bunclody in Co. Wexford - 45 minutes drive from Rosslare, or the Carlton Abbey Hotel in Co. Kildare - less than an hour’s drive from Dublin, is £173 for each of two adults (saving £47 each). Up to two children aged under 11 years travel and stay free of charge when sharing parents’ room. Again, price includes return ferry for car and passengers.
