This fascinating journey begins in Ecuador’s Quito, where one can explore the old colonial centre and visit La Mitad del Mundo – the site where the location of the equator was measured.

From Quito, one continues north to Otovalo to visit the Indian market and walk the beautiful countryside around Laguna Cuilocha.

From Quito, one flies out to join the three night Galápagos cruise which sails amongst isolated volcanic islands – each a unique biological haven. One then spends two nights on the Galápagos island of Santa Cruz walking through arid vegetation.

Finally, its onto Guayaquil en route to colonial Cuenca for a walking tour of the old town, lakes and ponds of the spectacular Cajas National Park.
