Rocky - Rocky VI Rocky VI will appear on screen in cinemas this month. Filmed in Philadelphia, Sylvester Stallone takes to the ring in yet another appearance in his latest Rocky film and again, uses the steps to the Philadelphia Museum of Art which he made famous in the first film.

Former heavyweight champion, Rocky Balboa, (Sylvester Stallone), steps out of retirement and back into the ring, pitting himself against a new rival, decades after his initial glory. When a computer simulated boxing match declares Rocky Balboa the victor over the current champion, Mason “The Line” Dixon, the legendary fighter’s passion and spirit are reignited.

The Rocky films have been included in the city’s new “Philadelphia In the Movies” Film Tour which showcases the region’s hottest film locations. The tour visits famous Philadelphia movie locations on a luxury coach. There are more than 64 stops at the actual places where smash hits like The Sixth Sense, In Her Shoes, 12 Monkeys, Beloved, National Treasure, Philadelphia, Trading Places, and the Rocky movies were filmed.

The tour includes a run up the Rocky steps as well as other stops at iconic Philadelphia film locations. It is the ultimate experiential tour; full of ‘behind the scene’ anecdotes about the celebrities, from the sets, and with clips to help jog the memory and show how similar or vastly differently the locations look Up Close & Personal.

The film is premiered on January 16th in the UK.
