New Zealand’s premier experiences

Exhibitors span the country, from the Far North to the Southern Lakes, and, while there is a strong presence from leading luxury accommodation properties, a number of luxury-oriented activity operators will also be showcasing their products.
Six activity companies are participating in addition to helicopter and private charter jet operators. Collectively, their product range delivers highly memorable and experiential products, many into untouched havens throughout New Zealand.
Visitors staying at New Zealand’s luxury lodges can take awesome scenic flights through National Parks or over the Southern Alps, land on live volcanoes or at stunning lakeside locations for a remote picnic. Glacier or snow landings are not a problem along with eco tours, wine tours, fly fishing, heli-skiing, mountain biking, wilderness hunting, spine tingling Maori cultural experiences, stunning gardens, beautiful lake cruises … the options are endless.
New Zealand is now regarded as a significant luxury destination providing bespoke travel experiences for a discerning clientele. This year New Zealand was awarded ‘Second Favourite Country for Holidays’ in the prestigious Conde Nast Traveller magazine’s Ninth Annual Readers’ Travel Awards (Italy was first). Conde Nast has twice voted New Zealand as the ‘Best Destination’ (2005 & 2006). New Zealand is also ranked in the top six Anhold GMI Country Brand 2005 survey.
Pure Luxury New Zealand 2007 is being managed by the Tourism Industry Association (TIA) in conjunction with an industry management committee. According to TIA Chief Executive, Fiona Luhrs, “In addition to growing our share of the luxury travel market, one of our aims is to showcase New Zealand’s richness and diversity of experiences. The mix of luxury exhibitors at Pure Luxury will reinforce these attributes to buyers”.
