R16 The world’s largest break-dancing championships lands in Seoul between May 31 – June 3, 2007. R-16 brings together sixteen internationally ranked B BOY crews to perform against each other at Jamsil Gymnasium, Seoul. The event is divided into two divisions – Performance Battles and Crew Battles – and winners will compete for cash prizes totalling $50,000.

‘R’ in R-16 stands for ‘Respect’, a term used amongst break-dancers to emphasize their admiration of one another. ‘R-16 Korea Sparkling, Seoul’ will serve as a stepping stone for young people from around the globe to become involved in art, music and culture.

Aside from the break-dancing visitors can enjoy a pre-event party, super concert featuring some of Korea’s hottest young musicians, a Graffiti Fair and much more!
