Fishy business in Pembrokeshire

30th May 2007 Print
Tales of ‘the one that got away’ – and samples of some that didn’t – are what’s on offer in Pembrokeshire at the end of June when the county celebrates its close maritime connections with a week-long festival.

The event – Pembrokeshire Fish Week – runs between 23 June and 1 July and begins with a family-day at Milford Haven marina with sea-themed music and children's entertainment, plus fish cookery demonstrations and barbecues, food and craft stalls.

Throughout the remainder of the festival week there are county-wide celebrations of all things piscatorial with opportunities to take part in family seashore safaris and crab catching, enjoy river cruises and boat trips and sample the best of the catch in local pubs and restaurants.

Coastal Cottages of Pembrokeshire offers a wide selection of character properties ideally located for enjoying the range of activities that abound during ‘Fish Week’.
