Butlins announces 2007 festivals line-up

19th June 2007 Print
Butlins has announced an eclectic festivals programme for the rest of the year - with more to come. The line-up, which ranges from rock and metal through gospel to dance, follows the well-received All Tomorrow’s Parties at Minehead which showcased leftfield acts like Nick Cave and Joanna Newsome.

All weekender tickets include accommodation in self-catering apartments or, at Bognor Regis, the option of staying in the new modern-deco style Shoreline Hotel. The full Resort facilities are available throughout.

Said Richard Bates, Managing Director of Butlins: “The Butlins Resorts could have been purpose-built as festival venues, with their accommodation and facilities for thousands, and big-stage auditoriums with professional sound and lighting systems.

“As All Tomorrow’s Parties showed, a festival at Butlins has an atmosphere very much its own. And, of course, it’s the only festival where you’re guaranteed to keep your feet dry.”

The line-up announced today is just the start of an ambitious year-round festivals’ programme that will appeal across the musical genres.

Plans and negotiations are currently ongoing for punk, pop, folk and indie events.
