Wild West log flume opens in Kansas

On Fathers Day, Wild West Worlds new Prairie Plunge Log Flume opened to thousands of guests. Lines with both adults and children moved quickly through the queue as log ride after log ride left the station for the ramp going up the ride. The 50’ tall Log Flume was certified for operation and opened to the thousands of guests visiting Wild West World Theme Park on Fathers Day.

As water flew, guests screamed with joy as the log flume plunged guests down the 50’ drop into a pool of clear blue water and through the lazy river leading back to the western themed ride station. At the bottom of the ride observers got the chance to spray their favourite adventurer with water from the coin operated spray guns.

Having been delayed in opening due to continuous rainfall throughout 2007, the Prairie Plunge Log Flume was an instant hit for families all across Kansas on Fathers Day. The log flume is operational daily throughout the parks season.

The National Acrobats of China are now performing 3 times daily, Tuesday to Sunday, to sold out crowds at Wild West World in the parks Arena. There is no additional cost for the acrobat’s daily shows at 1:00 pm (no 1:00 pm show on Sunday), 3:30 pm and 6:30 pm. In addition to the Acrobats, Wild West World also has 5 musical shows performing daily throughout the park at no additional cost.

Wild West World is located in Park City Kansas, 4 miles north of Wichita on I-135, exit 16.

Wild West World is Kansas’ only theme park with 24 exciting rides, 12 retail shops, 24 games, 4 musical stages, 12 restaurants, an indoor theatre and catering capacity for 3,000. The new 100ft tall Condor thrill ride is scheduled to open before July 1st.
