A taste of Sweden with the scrumptious flavours of Copenhagen

A section of the major square in the city centre will be dedicated to local food and of course as it is, after all, August there will also be a Crayfish Party!
Nobody visiting Sweden in August can fail to miss the shop windows displaying every possible variation on the theme ‘Crayfish’. There are crayfish decorated bibs, crayfish paper plates, crayfish napkins, crayfish song sheets, crayfish dishes, crayfish table cloths, funny hats and large paper lanterns in the shape of the full moon, should the real one fail to appear.
The Swedes worship the crayfish and August is the time to experience the annual Crayfish Party which takes place in most homes and restaurants.
The full festival programme will be available from early July at Malmofestivalen.com.
After a taste of Sweden, nothing could be easier than to move on to Denmark and try out some more delicacies. Just travel across the magnificent Oresund Bridge, linking Malmo with the Danish Capital. This comfortable train journey takes just 35 minutes.
