Philadelphia invites Channel 4 viewers to “Come Dine With Me”

Do you have the recipe for success? Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) has joined forces with Kraft Philadelphia Cheese to offer a gourmet prize to the city on Channel 4’s series Come Dine With Me.

Kraft Cheese (Philadelphia Cheese) is sponsoring the third series of Come Dine With Me and directing viewers to go to the website for featured recipes. Viewers are invited to enter the programme’s competition by sending in their own recipes using Philadelphia Cheese. Philadelphia CVB is providing the gourmet prize for the winning ingredient combination.

A total of 11 shows are broadcast on Sundays on Channel 4 at prime time, from 5.50pm, for 75minutes and also on the digital channel, More 4 on Saturdays as a half-hour show. The series will be broadcast through to mid September but continues on digital. The competition and website promotion will end 30th September along side the terrestrial listings.

The gourmet prize for the lucky winner and guest will include two direct flights from London to Philadelphia, a four-night stay with breakfast at the Rittenhouse Hotel, located in Rittenhouse Row, Philadelphia's upscale shopping and dining district in the heart of the city. The Rittenhouse is one of the world's top luxurious boutique hotels and is consistently the recipient of the prestigious “AAA Five Diamond Award”

In Philly, the winner and guest will visit the neighbourhoods of Center City (downtown), the locations of some of the famous movies filmed in Philadelphia including Sixth Sense and Rocky, as well as exploring Philadelphia's world-famous museums and historical attractions.

The prize includes two City Passes, which offer free entrance to six key Philadelphia attractions as well as a trolley tour of the city and shopping vouchers to take advantage of the tax-free shopping on clothes and shoes.

Following the gourmet theme, there is a tour of the Termini Brothers Bakery, one of Philadelphia’s favourite traditions and dinner for two at Haru, one of the newest Japanese – fusion restaurants offering one of a kind cuisine featuring some of the finest sushi in Philadelphia.
