30th July 2007 Print
Online travel and leisure retail giant lastminute.com, in a plea to encourage Brits to grab summer, is delighted to announce the launch of ‘London Walks’, the latest addition to its ever-growing product range.

This new exciting product consists of a range of walking itineraries throughout the Capital, taking visitors around the famous London landmarks as well as many hidden gems.

The nine walks, which use Google maps as its tool, come completely free of charge and are designed to be printed as separate pocket guides from the ‘going out’ section on lastminute.com.

These include itineraries in areas such as the ever-popular South Bank, The City, Westminster, Chelsea, St John's Wood/Camden, Hampstead, Greenwich and West End & Hyde Park and are suitable for every level of fitness.

Along with favourite historic landmarks, each itinerary contains lastminute.com’s favourite eateries, pubs and gives insider knowledge on the capital. This includes House of Commons session times and tips on finding the best places to skate in the city. The itineraries also highlight the en-route restaurants and attractions that can be purchased on the site through a direct link to booking pages.

Nick Wild, Project Manager at lastminute.com said “ We wanted to give something more to our customers, something new to experience. These walks have all been created and tested by a team of London fanatics at lastminute.com. They can be completed in about two hours but each itinerary has got enough to do along the way to turn it into a full fun day out.”
