Family days out in Cheshire

Families looking for some fun filled days out this summer should head to Cheshire, where whatever the weather you're guaranteed to find something to suit everyone. Here are some suggestions from Visit Chester and Cheshire.

Big Battle of Nantwich
Date - 26th & 27th August
Watch over 2000 soldier’s fight it out in a large scale re-enactment of the 1644 Battle of Nantwich at Reaseheath College. The two day spectacular featuring soldiers, horses and a living camp is set to dazzle spectators with battle demonstrations and fun activities for all the family.

Blue Planet Aquarium
Take a trip to the Blue Planet Aquarium in Cheshire, the largest aquarium adventure in the UK. You’ll be taken on a spectacular underwater safari by the moving walkway and everywhere you look, you'll find a shark looming overhead. And you can learn all about the endangered coral reefs in the NEW Reef Magic centre.

Chester Zoo

Amazing Maize Maze at Apple Jacks Farm, Warrington
Families can lose themselves at Apple Jacks Farm this summer. The Amazing Maize Maze (a maze made of Maize!) is great for families to explore, and the new pirate ship theme for the summer is set to be bigger and better than ever.
