A fiery taste of Sussex

The Brighton & Hove Food and Drink festival celebrates the best of food and drink in Sussex. Local delicacies will be the star of the show at the month long festival, with special events taking place across the city including markets, live demonstrations and competitions.
The North Laine will play host to the huge Festival Food & Drink Market, 8-9 September. One of the largest farmers markets in the UK, the event offers a weekend filled with eating, drinking and fun festival frolics, including live entertainment and competitions.
Fabrica, is another hot venue for this year’s event. The Sussex Beer and Wine festival (8-9 September) has chosen the gallery to host a series of tastings. The Live Food Festival will also be taking place 8-9 September in the gardens of the Royal Pavilion with live chef demonstrations and a children’s festival.
Making a return to the festival is ‘Battle of the Bars - Bar Idol’, with the best bar tenders in Brighton & Hove competing over four heats across the city, before the big showdown on 13 September at the Honey Club.
Chilli will be the star of the show at Ovingdean Hall School as the Fiery Food Festival takes over on 15-16 September. The two day food and drink market showcase the famous local chillies and celebrates all things hot and spicy.
