Outdoor ice rink at Maritime Greenwich  The Maritime Greenwich ice rink (greenwichicerink.com) in south east London will be open from Saturday, 8 December to Sunday, 13 January (10am - 10pm) in the grounds of the Old Royal Naval College alongside the River Thames. This year the CaféIce, serving hot chocolate, mulled wine and mince pies, will be re-sited in the colonnades giving skaters uninterrupted views across the Thames to Canary Wharf in one direction and Queen’s House and the Royal Observatory in the other.

The one-hour sessions will be priced at £9.50 for adults, £7 for children under 16; £8 for concessions and £28 for a family ticket (one adult and three children or two adults and two children). ‘Skate till you drop’ tickets for only £7.50 available between 10am and 5pm between December 10 - 14 and January 7 - 11 (ice cleaning will require skaters to leave the ice for short periods of time). Maritime Greenwich is easily reached via the Docklands Light Railway alighting at Cutty Sark, or by main line train from four central London stations, namely Charing Cross, Cannon Street, Waterloo East and London Bridge. Alternatively there are several bus services coming through Greenwich or visitors can arrive by passenger boat at Greenwich Pier.
