Adrenalin-fuelled Eastbourne Extreme in 2008 Eastbourne Extreme sports festival will make an exciting return to the town on 19-20 July 2008 for an adrenalin-fuelled weekend of exhilarating action with one of last year’s main attractions, the Thundercat power boat racing team hoping to make a return.

The two day event is free and will return with an even bigger line up of air, land and water outdoor pursuits offering taster sessions, demonstrations and even holding national competitions.

Eastbourne Borough Council Spokesperson for Tourism, Cllr Steve Wallis said “Eastbourne Extreme is a spectacular event for the town with a buzz of excitement that lasts the whole weekend. Crowds revel in the thrilling antics of the extreme sportsmen and there’s the chance for spectators to have a go too with some top demonstrators on hand. Enjoy the festival atmosphere, cheer on the racers or just chill on Eastbourne’s Eastern seafront – it’s a great weekend for everyone.”

Key event partners, Eastbourne Skate Association, UK Windsurfing Association, Eastbourne Rowing Club, South East Kiting Association, Kent Land Yachting Club and Spray Watersports have all promised to return bringing a taste of the extreme to the south coast, along with the 2007 favourites the Urban Shadows Parkour team who demonstrated the hot new sport, Free Running.

The event also hopes to host exciting new acts in 2008, as jet skis, scuba diving and mountain biking come to Eastbourne, with the chance to watch these unusual sports up close with top names appearing at the event.

Live bands will fill the Eastbourne Extreme Band Stage once more in 2008 and families can really join in with the festival atmosphere as fairground rides return to keep the kids amused with shopping stalls too.
