Our efforts to reduce our carbon footprint and make the festival as green as possible has paid off, and we are delighted to have won the 'Greener Festival Award'. We are working hard to increase the size of our stages and space for dancing, with more music and informal sessions. It's going to be the best yet!

“An increasing number of visitors come to the festival from outside of the city and by working with Leicester Shire Promotions, we are able to offer an exclusive overnight accommodation package for those people who don’t want to camp or travel,” continued Richard.

Martin Peters, Chief Executive of Leicester Shire Promotions added: “With sell-out shows every year, the Big Session is a key festival in Leicester’s calendar of events. The festival is gaining an increased profile nationally and we hope that this year’s show will attract many visitors from outside of the city and county.”
