Tenerife welcomes the magic of Disney – on ice

Tenerife has been chosen as the only Island in the Canaries to host what is said to be the largest Ice Spectacular in the world ‘Disney on Ice’. The UNESCO Heritage site of La Laguna will welcome the production from 14 – 17 March 2008 at the Pabellón Santiago Martin Ice Rink.

“Disney on Ice” is a time honoured favourite with all age groups. A company of 90 including production crew as well as skaters will recreate classic characters from the wonderful world of Walt Disney. The audience will enjoy favourites including; Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Pluto, Buzz Lightyear, Baloo the Bear and The Incredibles.

The city of La Laguna, the original capital of Tenerife, was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1999. It is the original capital of the island and home to pedestrian streets with excellent shops and a plethora of historical gems: palaces, stately homes, convents and churches.
