With special Barbados romance offers available to couples including special romance packages, the Barbados Year of Romance E-Brochure is essential to anyone planning a wedding, honeymoon, renewing their vows or holidaying with a loved one.

To celebrate the launch of the Barbados Year of Romance E-Brochure two romantic holidays are also available to be won. By answering three questions on romance in Barbados, entrants have the chance to win a fabulous holiday for two to Barbados.

Barbados is recognised as a world-class destination renowned for its luxurious hotels, friendly people, world-class restaurants, breathtaking beaches and warm, crystal-clear waters.

For couples wanting to marry or propose, Barbados offers a plethora of dreamy locations including beaches at sunset, catamaran cruises, plantation houses and tropical gardens.

Barbados is also ideal for more adventurous romantic experiences offering scuba ceremonies, submarine marriages, parasail marriages, ceremonies amidst the spectacular caverns of Harrison’s Cave, the bride arriving by helicopter, marriages on the pitch of Kensington Oval, eco marriages, Concorde Experience marriages, the list is endless - reaching as far as the couple’s imagination may take them.

Barbados has over 100 top restaurants, each with its own character and cuisine, including sophisticated French, rustic Italian, eclectic Chinese and, of course, authentic Barbadian. Many of the restaurants also provide candle lit dinners on the beach for that extra special romantic experience.

The nightlife of Barbados is also famous for its variety and is especially appealing for couples. Sophisticated champagne bars are perfect for late night cocktails, nightclubs in the open air allow people to dance the night away while Piano bars provide that laid back feeling.

Getting married in Barbados is so easy; couples can marry on the day of their arrival if they so choose. The process is further simplified with the help of specialist wedding planners who will organise everything from the licence to the flowers and cake, while most hotels and resorts also offer on-staff consultants.

Petra Roach, Vice President of Marketing and Sales for Europe at the Barbados Tourism Authority, said “Barbados is the perfect island for romance. The romantic experiences we offer people are unique, ensuring our guests remember their time in Barbados forever. Many of our experiences are also a little bit different, which makes the occasion even more special.”
