European Rail have organised a 6-day special treat for Opera lovers. Staying at the lovely five star Hotel Principe di Piemonte in Viareggio beside the sea and included in the price are private transfers and all travel. The group will have a guide throughout.17 July - Leaving London St Pancras early afternoon and travelling overnight in a two-berth sleeper you arrive in Lucca at 0830 the next morning. There will be a private transfer to the hotel.
18 July - Free time at leisure to discover the beautiful art deco architecture of the town. In the evening there is a private transfer to Torre del Lago for a performance of Tosca (with reserved seats).
19 July - On Saturday transfer to Lucca for a private half-day guided tour of the city followed by lunch. Transfer back to the hotel in the afternoon. Private transfer to Torre del Lago for the evening performance of Turandot (with reserved seats).
20 July - at leisure to discover the region alone. Nearby are the quarries where Michelangelo bought his marble. Or you can just relax after all the emotions of the opera!
21 July - evening transfer to the rail station to connect with the journey home. Arrive back in St Pancras at 1128 next day.
