Stay at Lumley in Durham and you could encounter the Lily of Lumley. The ghost of Lady Lumley who was killed and dumped in the castle’s well – she is said to float from it and haunt the castle. Lily is just one of the castle’s ghosts - many of its guests have experienced other hauntings. Enjoy a memorable night here for just £199 per person.

Brougham Hall, 3 May
Loud bangs, unexplained noises, taps being turned on and glasses flying off shelves are just some of the ghostly goings on at Brougham Hall in Carlisle - featured on Living TV’s “Most Haunted”. Experience an evening to remember for just £110 per person (this event does not include accommodation).

Imperial Crown, 17 May
Built as a coaching inn in the 1800s this traditional hotel offers more than great facilities with a long history of “unexplained” activity and sightings by both guests and staff. For your chance to experience some of the paranormal action book your break now from just £170 per person.

The Feathers, 31 May, 20 September and 31 October
If you are a woman who likes a challenge, book into room 211 at the Feathers Hotel in Ludlow. A lady ghost who dislikes female guests haunts this room. Previous experiences have included a woman being dragged from her bed by her hair and a lady who awoke to find someone had soaked her nightdress during the night – the rest of the bed was dry!
