Aqua Restaurant Group welcomes Eugenio Riva

With plans for significant menu changes underway, Riva has already introduced a number of new dishes to Aqua Roma, including Spelt rigatoni with pumpkin, anchovies, basil, tomato and toasted breadcrumbs. His learning and years of experience will derive a light, colourful and seasonally fresh and tasty menu mixing traditional and contemporary cooking techniques from the various regions of Italy.
As a self-taught Chef, Riva spent his early years cooking in local Italian restaurants before seizing the opportunity to move to Sydney, Australia as Head Chef for Lucios restaurant. For the last ten years, he has operated his own venture, Risorante Riva, with his wife in Sydney, specialising in contemporary Italian cuisine.
About Aqua, Penthouse, One Peking, Tsim Sha Tsui
Conceived by local designer and managing director for Aqua Restaurant Group, David Yeo, Aqua redefines destination dining with its ultra-stylish interiors and cutting edge cuisines.
Known as one of Hong Kong’s best dining venues, Aqua won Condé Nast’s “Hottest Tables in the World”, in 2001, whilst Hutong – another of Aqua Restaurants Group’s restaurant followed suit in 2005.
Aqua presents two dynamic and polarized dining spaces; Aqua Roma, a contemporary tribute to Italian style with seamlessly tiered banquet seating and uninterrupted harbour views; and Aqua Tokyo - a hip and cohesive centre of Japanese cool with sunken seating, tatami floors and accents of granite and slate.
Towering above the 6000 sqf space of Aqua Tokyo and Aqua Roma is Aqua Spirit – quite possibly Hong Kong’s chic-est lounge and ideal for pre-dinner drinks, nightcaps or simply for unwinding during the evening.
