Brittany’s alternative to Glastonbury
The 17th edition of the Les Vieilles Charrues outdoors music festival will take place in Carhaix, at the heart of beautiful Brittany from 17 to 20 July 2008. The festival now entertains over 180,000 music lovers and features over 80 bands over the four days. Set in a natural amphitheatre in Carhaix, near Brest, it is an exciting showcase of international talent, including both established and up and coming artists.The festival remains the largest Greenfield festival in France boasting three large stages within the 100 acre site. From humble beginnings as a community project, 'Les Vieilles Charrues' now has more than 5,000 volunteers every year.
