Eastbourne Beer Festival returns this autumn

Tickets are now available from Eastbourne Box Office and online through VisitEastbourne.com E-shop, with a 2 for 1 offer featuring in Waitrose Food Illustrated next month. Held from 9-11 October 2008 at Eastbourne’s Winter Garden, Eastbourne Beer Festival promises a three day celebration of the best real ales from around the world, top bottled beers, fine wines, ciders and perries.
Eastbourne Borough Council Spokesperson for Tourism, Cllr Steve Wallis said “It’s great news that tickets are now available for the sixth Eastbourne Beer Festival. A firm favourite in Eastbourne’s events calendar, I’m sure we’ll see plenty of early sales with everybody wanting to try out Beachy Head beers, Brahma Crop from Brazil and Mac’s Gold all the way from Down Under.”
Last year’s event saw a sell-out year with tickets completely sold out on Friday and Saturday night. Attracting more than 3,500 visitors across the three days, Eastbourne Beer Festival, known to serve more than 11,500 pints during previous years, is looking to continue its success this October.
Festival goers can look forward to more than 100 real ales with the chance to sample the likes of a Fruit Bat, Kamikaze and Ginger Tom. Good old pub grub will be on the menu throughout the event and the festival opens each evening, with a special afternoon family session on the Saturday rounding up in a huge pub quiz.
Thursday evening will see the return of the popular jazz night session with local musicians turning up to entertain crowds on the Beer Festival stage plus the Oompah band will be back with more foot stomping beer kellar fun.
Eastbourne Beer Festival is organised by Eastbourne Borough Council and Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA). To book tickets visit visiteastbourne.com, or for further information visit eastbournebeerfestival.co.uk .
