Have fun, will travel

12th August 2008 Print
Have fun, will travel Les Soeurs Anglaises offers travellers a taste of an idyllic area of South West France whilst mastering an enjoyable creative skill at the same time. Les Soeurs Anglaises was launched in early 2008 by Katie Elliott Armitage at her delightful maison de maître in Riberac (Dordogne) with a sold-out Creative Textile Workshop led by celebrated artist, Janet Bolton.

With Quilted Wall Hangings, Textile Collages and Hand Stitched Art amongst the planned programmes over the next 12 months, the courses - all to be led by acclaimed international artists - are designed to appeal to all levels of expertise, not just those with an artistic background. Partners are always welcome, without being required to participate!

Delicious home cooking, wine tastings, and visits to local places of interest are all on the itinerary; and with RyanAir flights to Bergerac and Angoulême (or BA to Bordeaux) these workshops provide idyllic, affordable breaks in relaxed, comfortable and stylish accommodation.

With the overwhelming success of the initial residential workshop, and another sold-out programme in September, the courses are set to become a regular fixture in the diaries of travellers interested in fine food, great wines, fabulous scenery and the company of like minded people – whilst creating, developing or improving a creative skill with inspirational guidance from experts in their field of creativity.
