15th August 2008 Print
October half-term at Enginuity, Shropshire During half-term week, 25 October to 2 November, a Halloween atmosphere will descend upon Enginuity, the design and technology attraction in Shropshire’s Ironbridge Gorge, as visitors are invited to join a drop-in workshop to design and build their own pirate ghost ship from recycled materials.

Participants can then race their ghostly galleons on the Enginuity pool of doom to see which ship will be the first to reach the pirate’s treasure.

The workshops will run daily between 10am and 4pm (closing between 12 and 1pm).

One of the ten Ironbridge Gorge Museums, Enginuity is open 10am-5pm seven days a week. Admission is £6.25 for adults and £5.25 for children and senior citizens. There will be an additional charge of £1.50 for each racing boat built.

A Passport to all ten of the Ironbridge Gorge Museums, valid for twelve months and multiple return visits, costs £14.95 per adult, £12.95 for the 60 plus, £9.95 for students and children and £48 for a family of two adults and three children aged up to 18 years in full time education; under 5s free. Individual museum entry tickets are also available.

The museums are open seven days a week from 10am until 5pm. For further information, visit ironbridge.org.uk. The Gorge is easily reached via the M6 and M54 motorways exiting at Telford (M54 junction 4 or 6).
