Join City Cruises and be part of the Thames Pageant
Join City Cruises, onboard the M.V. Millennium of London, on the 13th September 2008 and take part in the Thames Pageant. Part of the Mayor's Thames Festival, the Thames Pageant sees river users of all kinds join together in a colourful river display. The event runs from Greenwich to Westminster and back and includes users of the river from working tugs and steam tugs to private yachts, fireboats, pleasure boats and Livery company vessels.You will be welcomed onboard at 10.15am, at St. Katharine's Pier, with a refreshing glass of Pimms. The M.V. Millennium of London will then depart at 10.30am and travel down river to join the parade and then head back upstream through the main River Thames Festival site between Tower Bridge and Westminster Bridges. Turning again at Millbank the boat will pass back through the festival site before leaving the parade in the Lower Pool of London and returning to St. Katharine's Pier at approximately 1.15pm. A lunch of baked lasagne with salad and a choice of desserts will be served during the cruise.
The cost per person to join City Cruises for this great event is £37.50, of which £5 will be donated to charity.
