Audi models in tune with Apple iPhone
Audi and Apple have been working closely together to ensure that the eagerly awaited iPhone, available from today (November 9), is fully compatible with, and functional in, the majority of Audi models equipped with optional GSM phone preparation incorporating a bluetooth interface.Alongside the standard hands-free functions (accept/reject call/hands-free), the mobile phone preparation supports the display of the signal strength and the provider’s name, and enables transfer of the user’s number directory to the car’s infotainment system.
In A5, A6, A8 and Q7 models equipped with the optional Audi Music Interface, the iPhone’s music files can also be played back through the in-car audio system. The in-dash MMI monitor displays track titles, artist names, playlists and genres, and allows occupants to navigate through these as they would through their iPod.
