All proceeds raised from the coffee morning have been donated to Macmillan Cancer Support which is hoping to raise £8.5 million nationally to help support more people living with cancer.

As well as drinking hot beverages, members of Shakespeare Country and staff were treated to a short performance from A Midsummer Night’s Dream by the Earl of Oxford’s Men.

Tea, coffee and cakes were kindly donated from a number of organisations including Tetley, Yorkshire Tea, Taylors of Harrogate, New English Teas, Columbine cakes, Mr. Kipling and Jing Tea whose particular donation of 9,600 tea bags were delivered on an artic lorry!

Phil Hackett, Chief Executive of Shakespeare Country stated, “Our coffee morning was a great success and I’m delighted that Shakespeare Country has raised money for such an extremely worthwhile and important charity”.
