Glasgow’s newest and freshest food festival

OctoberFeast, in conjunction with the Glasgow Restaurateurs’ Association (GRA), is a new month-long celebration of the finest eating establishments that the city has to offer. As part of the festivities, 31 of Glasgow’s top restaurants, including John Quigley’s renowned Red Onion and The Brasserie on George Square, will be running a variety of quality meal deals, all for just £15.95 per person.
Staff from The Brasserie restaurant at The Millennium Hotel were on hand to help dish up the gourmet meal of langoustine and smoked salmon, prepared by the head chef.
David Maguire, chief executive of the GRA, says: “We’re delighted to have the Lord Provost and John Quigley helping us to launch OctoberFeast. This new festival is a chance for the participating restaurants to showcase their fabulous food and bolster Glasgow’s reputation as one of the UK’s best cities for dining.
“The £15.95 offer will be running throughout the month of October across a variety of restaurants, from Indian and Italian to French and British cuisine, so I’d encourage people to visit the GRA website at graonline.co.uk to view a list of the participating venues and book at table at a new restaurant they’ve never tried before.”
Lord Provost Bob Winter comments on the new festival: "Glasgow is a great place to eat out in all styles from fine dining to award-winning curry houses. Scotland produces world class ingredients which our talented chefs bring to the tables in some of the UK's best restaurants.
“Glaswegians love to dine out, and the OctoberFeast is a tremendous showcase for Glasgow's chefs and restaurants."
