History becomes reality at Portsmouth Harbour

Be a part of the history at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard. You will take an unbelievably ‘real’ journey through time and come face to face with fascinating artefacts and historic ships that helped shape British history. With six landmark attractions, there really is something for everyone.

Discover more about Admiral Lord Nelson, Henry VIII, World War Veterans and Portsmouth Dockyard workers. Learn about life on board three of the world’s most famous warships ever built, HMS Victory, HMS Warrior 1860 and the Mary Rose. See, touch and smell the history of the Royal Navy at the Royal Naval Museum, one of the UK’s leading maritime museums and complete the story by testing your own skill, bravery and brain power on the action-packed high seas adventure that is Action Stations.

Take a 45 minute tour around Portsmouth Harbour aboard one of the modern and comfortable boats and see the ships of the modern Royal Navy fleet in port.

Portsmouth Historic Dockyard hosts a variety of events throughout the year that are enjoyed by young and old alike. Past events include a ‘Celebration of Steam’, ‘Model Boat Weekend’, ‘Meet Your Navy’ and ‘A Victorian Festival of Christmas’. The gates open at 10:00am daily and visitors are welcome to visit the shops, restaurants, cafes and Antiques Storehouse without charge, except during special events.

An Annual Admission Ticket is available for one year with unlimited entry to Action Stations, HMS Warrior 1860 and Royal Naval Museum and valid for one entry to HMS Victory, Mary Rose Museum and Ship Hall and Harbour Tours. It is priced at £18.50 adult, £16.50 senior, £14.00 child and £51.50 family (up to 5 members of the same family, maximum 2 adults/seniors). A Gift Aid Annual Admission ticket and single attraction tickets are also available.
