A big deal for sightseeing savings

17th November 2008 Print
A big deal for sightseeing savings CityPass, the consumer-friendly attraction booklet of the best sightseeing in North America, beefs up its money-saving and line-bypassing appeal with a Winter Special that stretches the use of CityPass booklets in five of its big cities. In New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Seattle and Hollywood, CityPass booklets used on December 15 or beyond, are valid to March 31, 2009.

Originally designed for visitors as a sightseeing savings concept, CityPass has become a favorite for locals, and regional visitors, acting as an antidote to any dreary winter day, for the kids’ school breaks or holidays, or as a self-guided city adventure for visiting family or friends. CityPass is priced at about 50% off the combined cost of the attractions, and saves time with special entry areas at most attractions to avoid main entrance ticket lines.

In blustery cities, sightseers can take a break from the ordinary inside the treasure-filled halls of museums with dinosaur jaws, technology and science, exotic birds and insects, meteorites, sharks, or famous paintings. In sunny Hollywood, celebrity-seekers can trace the haunts of their favorite stars along the Walk of Fame and throughout Bel Air, Beverly Hills and Hollywood.

In addition to admission tickets—and a chance to avoid most ticket lines—CityPass booklets contains a map, public transportation information, extra savings coupons, and insider tips from the experts at National Geographic Traveler magazine.

In New York, CityPass includes the Statue of Liberty, The Metropolitan Museum of Art and four other ‘must-see’ attractions for $74 adults and $54 youth 12-17; in Boston, the CityPass includes the Museum of Science and the Skywalk Observatory top the Prudential Center for $44 adults and $24 youth 3-11; and in Philadelphia, CityPass features the National Constitution Center and The Franklin Institute Science Museum and four more attractions for $54 adults and $44 youth 4-12.

In Seattle, CityPass includes the Experience Music Project and Science Fiction Museum along with the Seattle Aquarium and four other “only in Seattle” attractions for $44 adult and $29 youth 4-12; in Hollywood, a Red Line behind-the-scenes walking tour of California’s most famous city block and a look inside the famous Kodak Theatre, home of American Idol and the Oscars, sets the tone for the Hollywood CityPass, $49.95 adults and $39 youth 3-11.

CityPass is available at each city’s participating attractions or in advance online at citypass.com with a hassle-free gift wrap option. For an online look inside the pages of each booklet or more information, visit citypass.com.
