Fab fashion in Copenhagen

28th January 2009 Print
Fab fashion in Copenhagen Every February and August, Copenhagen plays host to Northern Europe's largest fashion fair, the Copenhagen Fashion Week. On the catwalks are a vast number of new and known Danish talents showcasing their upcoming collections, and at the three trade fairs, CPH Vision, Gallery and Copenhagen International Fashion Fair, you will find an additional 1,100 exhibitors representing a total of over 2,300 international brands.

The international profile of Copenhagen's fashion designers has increased dramatically in recent years. Danish designers working in Copenhagen or for world famous labels in Paris, London and Milan exert a sizeable influence over the fashion industry and the Danes have become particularly known for their unique take on design, innovation and aesthetics – perhaps that's why over 50,000 people (trade only) attend the Danish fashion week twice a year.

Superb shopping for fashionitas
Running parallel with the trade-only fashion fairs, and presented for the first time in Copenhagen last August, are the NEW open-to-the public fashion events at the Copenhagen Fashion Weekend. Here, fashionistas and shoppers alike can share the latest fashion vibes whilst “chilling out” in Denmark’s trendy capital on a break away from it all!
