3rd February 2009 Print
If you are single, the best place to be on the 20th - 22nd of February is Hastings and St. Leonards where you can experience the seaside sensation of the first Hastingles. The town is opening up a number of events especially presented to encourage singles to meet and enjoy new company. Hastingles is the perfect singles antidote to Valentines Day!

Highlights of the weekend include a party night at the fabulous beach front Azur and Mix and Mingle wine tasting at the White Rock Hotel taking place in the contemporary bar and beautiful sea facing terrace. The delightful Old Town eatery Pomegranate is holding a Mardis Gras evening with Brazilian music, fejouada and late licence, ideal for getting to know new and interesting people.

Some of the best hotels and guest houses, including the 5 star award winning Black Rock House, are offering special accommodation rates for Hastingles weekend so you can stay over, relax and enjoy this vibrant Sussex resort.

Special daytime events are being held at the Blue Reef Aquarium and Smugglers Adventure. There is also The Driftwood Challenge singles event at the world championship Crazy Golf Course on the seafront.

Hastingles will be supporting the RNLI Lifeboat Association with collections raised during the weekend’s events. Steve Warne, Coxswain of Hastings Lifeboat says: "This is a great idea to bring single people together and to raise money to continue saving lives at sea. As a single man myself, I'm looking forward to attending lots of the events and enjoying Hastingles weekend".

Everyone is warmly welcome to join the fun and experience the very first Hastingles. Full details of all the events and accommodation providers can be found on the Hastingles website - Hastingles.co.uk.
