Wildlife presenter returns to Pensthorpe

This year’s event promises to be even more exciting because Wildlife presenter Chris Packham will be opening a new Wildlife Habitat Garden which aims to show visitors how they can attract wildlife into their garden with simple hints and tips.
Chris, who joined the Pensthorpe-based Springwatch team for the first time this year, will open the Garden at 11am on 6th June. Afterwards, along with Pensthorpe head gardener Imogen Checketts, Chris will be on hand to answer questions and talk about how to attract wildlife into the garden.
Deb Jordan, owner of Pensthorpe says: “Pensthorpe has worked with Chris in the past and we are delighted he has agreed to come back and open this very important wildlife garden at our annual Gardening, Craft & Food Fair. We are confident his presence will attract those who enjoy Springwatch and wildlife in general.”
At the Fair, visitors will also get the chance to take a behind-the-scenes look at Springwatch, with guided tours around the compound to see where the programme was filmed and the location of the mini cams which captured the wildlife in action.
The Gardening, Craft & Food Fair at Pensthorpe is a highly popular annual event which brings together stunning plants and delicious food. Top nurseries from around the county will attend to show off their plants, while visitors can discover tantalising tastes and aromas in the Food Marquee.
The event is open from 10am to 5pm on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th June. Admission to the Fair is £3 for adults, £2 for children, and visitors are entitled to a reduced rate to enter the nature reserve.
Pensthorpe Nature Reserve is on the A1067, one mile from Fakenham. Open all year, April to December 10am to 5pm and January to March 10am to 4pm.
