Shakespeare Country celebrates award wins

Shakespeare Country celebrated a number of award wins for its members at The 4th Coach Tourism Awards held at the Ricoh Arena on Tuesday 19 May. 17 Awards were handed out on the night to the very best suppliers, operators and individuals in the UK coach tourism market.

John Johnson of Johnsons Quality Coach & Bus Travel in Henley-in-Arden was awarded the ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’. The family company also celebrate their centenary this year. Barcelo Hotels, of which there are three hotels within Shakespeare Country, won ‘Accommodation Provider of the Year’. Drayton Manor, which uses Shakespeare Country as a ticket agent, won ‘UK Attraction of The Year’.

Jo Butler, Head of Destination Services for Shakespeare Country attended the evening as a guest of Travel Trade Britain. Jo stated “We are immensely proud that a number of our members achieved success in these prestigious awards. The results acknowledge and demonstrate the number of first class hotels, attractions and travel operators we have in Shakespeare Country. Each is instrumental in delivering a truly high quality experience for our visitors and ensuring that Shakespeare Country continues to be one of the greatest places to visit”.
