Amazing art and activities for August Salisbury Cathedral is running a series of imaginative art and activity sessions on Wednesdays and Fridays throughout the month of August for families with younger children.

Sarah Rickett, Head of Education, knows that “the long summer holidays are a great time for children and that many families like to use the time to do special things together. We have a good reputation for our innovative work with school-aged children and really enjoy providing stimulating and fun activities for local families and those visiting from further afield.”

‘Young at Art’ – a range of theme-based art and craft workshops for children
Fridays in August, 10am – 12 noon
5 – 7 years and 8 – 11 years
£3.00 per child

Parents can enjoy a couple of hours to themselves knowing their children are enjoying a safe and friendly time learning new skills.

7th - Cathedral Views - painting & drawing
14th - Mythical Beasts - sculpture and modelling
21st - Cathedral Treasures - papier maché
28th - Gold and Glitz - decorative art

Family Discovery Days - exploration, solving clues, story telling, arts and crafts
Wednesdays in August between 11.00am and 3.30pm
£1.00 per family member

5th - Cathedral Oddities
12th - Mythical Beasts
19th - Hidden Angles
26th - Barnstorming Bishops!
