Oh so fashionable Copenhagen Fed up with shopping the in UK high street? Need a holiday? The cure for both ailments is a weekend shopping break to the coolest capital in Scandinavia. Be prepared to find your dream clothes in this city of style, because there really is something for everyone.

Copenhagen is simply full of fashion shops, from the main street Stroget, which cuts through the city centre lined with top international names, to the maze of smaller streets and alleyways surrounding it and where real treasures are to be found.

With its plentiful choice of small individual designer shops Copenhagen has just what you want – and what you did not know your really wanted until you got there and was entranced by the sheer multitude of great fashion. For those in the know, the streets to head for first are Kronprinsensgade, Gronnegade, Kompagni-straede, Laederstraede and Pilestraede.

It is also worth taking a look at new and trendy Vesterbro area. This is where you find contemporary creations by many young individual designers. It is a great creative buzz about this whole area that until recently was a derelict meatpacking district. If you are into retro then the Norrebro neighbourhood is the place for you. Go straight for Ravnsborgsgade street, to pick your finds from the ‘60s to ‘80s.
