Alicia Keys to headline Cayman Jazz Fest

The sixth annual Cayman Jazz Fest promises to be a memorable event with international R&B superstar and nine-time Grammy award winner, Alicia Keys confirmed as the headlining performer.

Alicia keys will be performing her popular signature style of singing and jazz piano on the final night of the three day event, Saturday 6th December.

Additional artists announced to perform over the festival, include two-time Oscar and Grammy award winner Peabo Bryson, smooth jazz saxophonist and singer Kirk Whalum and popular R&B and soul singer Keith Sweat.

The first night of the festival will take place in historic grounds of Pedro St James Castle, overlooking the Caribbean Sea. The final two nights’ performances are set on the equally spectacular location of the world-famous Seven Mile Beach.

In its sixth year, the Cayman Islands Jazz Fest is fast becoming one of the most notable music events in the Caribbean region. Last year Michael Bolton and Anita Baker drew impressive crowds and it is hoped that securing Alicia Keys is testament to the popularity of this festival for artists and audiences alike.

For visitors wanting an additional adrenaline burst after the Cayman Jazz Fest, the Cayman Islands Marathon will take place on Sunday 6th December 2009. Further information can be seen at caymanislandsmarathon.com.
